God Neil, i'm so sorry, i take it no-one roundabout had seen her?

Hope you hear something soon!!

I know how you must be feeling we had 2 pups go missing about 9 years ago and we never heard anything, lets just hope someone reading this forum or who goes to highgate has seen or heard something!!!

We hope you find her soon Niel safe and sound. Good luck .

if shes wearing a coller and tag you have a good chance in getting her back.

have you tried all the dogs homes, police, lurcher/greyhound rescues?......hope you find her.

Ring the RSPCA National line and hope and pray some one finds her poor lass, she will be terified :0  :angry:keep looking for her won't you, if i can find my mothers cat at skeggy then u should be able to find her..... good luck, if you need a hand just let me know ;)

I'm sorry I've been unable to get on line for a few days so have only just seen your email.  Firstly can I repost onto a dog warden network?  Secondly have you contacted Lurcher Search UK?  If you go to their website then you can add your bitch's details.  They have links to several northern rescues and dog wardens up there.

LURCHER SEARCH UK

Let me know about cross posting the information and giving out your email address.

Kaye from LSUK got the details last night and they've been sent out to all on the LSUK network, Lost Dogs UK web site + the dog warden network.  (The dog warden network is mainly based in the south so you'll have to carry on contacting local ones)

Can anyone please tell me what susie (the greyhound that has run off) will do, she is so timid and frightened of people I don't think she will show herself !!!!!!!!!!!!!! have any of you dealt with dogs that have run off before ??

hi Pat, There was a whippet that ran off  from the south once. It wouldnt go to anyone and was on the run for a week. After each sighting was reported the warden tryed to catch her with on luck. After it went into the local paper, someone saw her a team of r.s.p.c.a. and the warden went out and managed to catch  her no worse for wear just very hungrey.

I lost a friend's whippet a couple of years ago.  Like the one Tanyia mentioned, she would not allow anybody to approach her.  She knew me well, but wouldn't let me close when I saw her 3 days later.  Finally, eleven days after she ran off, she was sighted, and her owner managed to get there before she moved on again.  The owner had another of her whippets with her, luckily because it was the dog that the little bitch went to, not her owner.  Once she had recognised the dog, she realised that this person was her owner and not just another horrid human trying to trap her!

Neil, take one of your dogs with you and go see if you can see Susie, if you need a hand just ring me ,i will come with you, she will only come to you so PLEASE go and look for her..

hello all,not good news im afraid we had a phone call this morning, susie had been nocked down,a kind man took her to his house in barnsly and kept her comphy till we got there, anyway we took her straight to vets her front legs were a mess, and she broke her back,so we did what we thought best and had her put to sleep. so thanks for the help and advise, special thanks to the bloke who picked her up and looked after her .

I'm sorry to hear the news Neil & Debs.  Rotten luck!  Words are never enough at times like this but am I very, very sorry for you.

So sorry Neil and Deb, We thought Susie would head for the fields away from the roads. At least someone had the decency to pick her up and take her home. A very sad ending for Susie but with the injuries she had you did the right thing

                  xx
