Greek Reptiles

OH and I have been in Greece for a week and I took the new camera. It had a lot of use on Delos taking, among other things, the beautiful lizards they have there.

We think these ones are different colour versions of Erhard's wall lizard, but if anone knows better I'd love to be corrected.

Lovely pics - I think lizards are beautiful.

Went Mad in Cyprus lookin at them too.

We're lucky down here on the south coast to have extremely rare Sand Lizards.

We have a thriving little colony close by to us.

And we think these wonderful beasts are Starred agamas, some of them were about 10" long.

Wow great pictures, love the lizards. We spent most of our holiday too in Ibiza...coaxing them out of the flower beds or trying... :lol: but boy are they quick...

These are fab pics, their eyes are great !!

 

Spent many months in Greece, the last trip my son was forever bringing home tortoises which he found while out playing.

 

Never managed to spot lizards like those you've captured there though :thumbsup:

Wow I love the Starred Agama!

Your photographs are beautiful.

I'm going nuts waiting for my new camera - I took my old one out on Sunday and I had to keep thumping it to stop it freezing out on me - there's both electrical faults and the exposure sticks on complete white-out... I'd be better off sticking it in the bin I don't even think it's worth putting on ebay for the spare parts. I will NEVER buy a Minolta again - they're rubbish.

I was within touching distance of my new camera, battery pack and lenses in a shop yesterday and I very, very, nearly succumbed... I still haven't been paid for that painting so I think I'll phone the buyer tonight :rant:
