Greek Insects

We booked our holiday on Mykonos at the last minute, without knowing one of its reputations, so when we hit a beach with rather a lot of interesting (nakes, waxed and male) wildlife I had to take these photos to distract.

There were also some rather pretty day moths

A rather lovely beetle

And my favourite, some lovely crickets.

And a fairly ordinary, if pretty butterfly

If anyone can idenrify these for me I'd be thrilled.

Pretty sure the butterfly is a Painted lady- on it's way back to Africa, en route from migrationary misson to europe.

Didn't see that many here this July.
