We had a fab day at Gloucester today. We were all doubting as to whether we should bother due to the heavy rain, but the ground was fine. I expect Lesley will post racing results later - I would have, but didn't complete my programme today.
The pups all ran well. Candy still doesn't seem to be able to co-ordinate her legs  but hopefully she will be more together as she gets older. She traps well though. Barney ran up with the lovely Daisy, and they ran happily together. There can't be many puppies that Daisy hasn't trialled with. We then ran him with a dog either side, which completely threw him
Tia came from behind and was going pretty fast when she passed, which shocked him and he slowed and looked towards her, then he saw Daisy had come up on his other side, he lost sight of the lure and pulled up
I hadn't thought of how quickly Dave and Lynne's Tia would come past him, but as he is normally as bold as brass, I wouldn't have thought it would shock him  Anyway, he ran again and had a good rag of the lure at the end, so he was happy.
The star of the day, and I think the first of the Mighty Mouse x Peppermint Lass (Sweep and Grace) pups to clear for racing was Dave and Lynne Thomas's little Belle, or Conway Belle as she is now known  She did 3 clearing trials, after never putting a foot wrong in her training. We are thrilled for Dave and Lynne :huggles: and wish them excitement and good luck for her racing career ahead x
We would like to thank Louise and Daisy - always there for the pups, and responsible for clearing so many racing dogs. Go Daisy! You are invaluable to us all at Gloucester
