Some of you may recall that 8 years ago our brindle whippy, Rocket (Parkstone), broke his back but after 5 months was able to do most things that a whippet wants to do . Sadly his condition started deteriorating after Xmas and this morning he completely lost the use of his back legs and was even having problems with his front ones and he has now gone over the rainbow bridge.

Rocket was our first dog and a kinder, more gentle animal we’ve yet to come across. We have so many happy memories of him such as when we went camping he would be the first into the duvet if the weather was cold. If he had done something he shouldn’t have (usually to do with food) he would give the game away by putting his paws over his eyes! He used to wash the cats and they would curl up with him.

He’s gone now, leaving a gaping void in our lives.

Thank you so much, Rocket, for sharing twelve and a half years with us and enriching our lives.

I'm so sorry for your loss. He sounds a wonderful dog.

What a wonderful boy Rocket was. I remember him well, you came to the racing a couple of times up at Coppull. Considering his injury he lived to a fantastic age, no doubt through your love & care.

I have two girls with Parkstone in them & their nature is second to none.

RIP Rocket xx

So sad to hear, rest in peace over the rainbow bridge Rocket xx
