Thanks Judy (and Nigel), we had a superb day running at Gloucester. It seems such a long time since we raced in April at club level. I have renewed my enthusiasm for club racing and can't wait till next week. Well done to Trouble who trapped like a demon and won the light-weight finals! Great result, nice to see every-one again :huggles:

Well done to all ..... Jacob said can he go in the lightweights if we come next week please :D .....

It depends on who we get Hannah, I shuffled Keeper and Trouble round a bit to even up the numbers and we had some non-runners in the lightweights. Besides, by the time they got their veteran allowances they were running off light weight marks :D

Ah, come on, Trouble ran really well! It was a well deserved win. If my dog wasn't so bloomin' daft, he would have been facing the right way when the traps opened and not come out on his arse. I certainly can't guarantee he won't do it again as he is as thick as two short planks  By all means put all your dogs in racing with him, and take a chance he is going to be having an extra stupid day again

Sorry we missed you yesterday Jo, we were down at my brother's to watch my niece dancing. We are looking forward to catching up with you next week though. Smidge will just love it, and I can't wait to bring him. He's been having fun with my nieces this weekend, chasing them under the duvets, and licking them to bits - the call it being "Smidged" - so he might just "Smidge" a few people next Sunday

That would be great Julie. We'd love to see you and of course you can have as much trialling as you want. I'm sure we'll all give you a hand with your pups too  You need to be there around 11.30.

Post Code is GL2 9QD

what is the age limit for puppies to trial please
This is what I think the rules are, and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. We solo trial puppies behind a lure from 6 months, I don't think there's a limit on when you can introduce another dog to run with them??? Once they have passed their clearing trials, they can race from 9 months onwards - of course Judy gives them a puppy allowance according to their age

Nearly right June :D

Copied from the club rules -

Puppies under the age of ten months will not be allowed to take part in competitive racing in the club and may not trial with other dogs until they are at least eight months old.
