FurCodes are a smart modern upgrade to the dog tag of previous generations. Each tag links to an online Pet Profile allowing pet owners to keep their pet's contact, vet and care information current. Enter the tag ID in a web browser and it instantly renders your Pet's profile page or you can scan a FurCode with a Smartphone's QR code reader. Note: QR apps are free and can be downloaded from all Smartphone app stores. Your pet's profile displays only the information you decide which you can update at any time. FurCode tags are simple to use. When you purchasing a tag, you logon to the Furcode website to complete your online profile. You provide the information you will like to potentially share with someone who has found your lost pet. Just attach the tag to your pet's collar and that's it. Do FurCodes work in my Country? Yes, FurCodes work world-wide; a great benefit for pets that travel. Do I need a Smartphone to have a FurCode? Nope. You can still view and update your pet's profile by typing in the URL listed on your tag; for example www.FurCode.com/ID/yourIDhere. If you can browse a Web site, you can view a pet's FurCode profile. What is a QR code? QR (abbreviated from Quick Response) is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) that is readable by Smartphones. Although initially used for tracking parts in vehicle manufacturing, QR codes enjoy a much broader context, including both commercial and convenience-oriented applications aimed at mobile phone users (termed mobile tagging). My Smartphone does not have a QR Reader. Get one. They're free, come in many shapes and sizes and all do the same thing. Check on the compatibility of these readers with your phones as some readers work only on iPhones or Android phones. Do you charge any monthly or annual fees? Nope. Your pet's information is stored at FurCode.com free-of-charge. The price of the FurCode is all you pay.
