Frontline Question

I treated Muffin and Jonah with Frontline this morning, then a couple of hours later took them out for a walk and got caught in a really heavy rain/hail storm (much to Muffin's disgust! :lol: ). They were drenched through as when I left home the sun was shining so I didn't take their coats. :angry: Now I'm wondering if all the Frontline would all have washed off and whether I need to treat them again. What do you think?

Personally we never Frontline our dogs as we don't agree with putting unnecessary chemicals on their skin.

I would expect however, that you would not need to treat them again. :thumbsup:

I wouldn't risk applying it twice in one day. I'm sure it will have worked even if it was only on for a couple of hours. :thumbsup: Was it the spot on one?

As long as the frontline spot dried it will be fine.

doesnt it absorbe into the skin when u put it on :huh: so if it was dry before you went out that would mean its been absorbed into the skin so wouldnt have been washed away :blink: i may be wrong but thats what i thought happened to it :b

I know there are quite a lot of you that don't use things like Frontline. What do you use to keep fleas at bay as I'm quite amenable to trying something non-chemical as long as it works!

I find the Frontline quite difficult to apply anyway as I never seem to be able to part the hair enough to get it on the skin so I think most of it ends up on their fur which of course makes it less effective! :b We do use the Spot on Nicola.

Gillian the Frontline is absorbed very quickly into the bloodstream. I shouldnt worry about it being washed off...even if it did go onto the surrounding hair.

It will be fine...and I definitely wouldnt treat again.

I find the Frontline the most effective treatment especially with cats in the household too. :thumbsup:

I use frontline and just give it my best shot! Usually do it at night then send Izzy to her own bed, it is dry by morning.

Same here we've never had a problem with fleas If I can catch the cat I tend to do him with a flea comb but he's a stray semi feral cat that adopted us and rarely comes into the house unless I manage to catch him and bring him in to comb him he just comes round for his tea
