i have recently discovered the wonderful world of freecycle, and it has really helped me clear out my clutter thats been hanging around , has anyone else used this type of thing? there is also cheapcycle too where you sell goods free under a certain value , i think that depends on your area group though?

with me going on freecycle it has certainly set off the local gossips in thinking :clown: im loving the latest set of rumours going round :clown:

Im a huge fan of freecycle! Its amazing what you find advertised for free. There was a london taxi on it recently!

there is a chap on our local one whom repairs pcs for free and gives them to the elderly and disabled!!! some really kind people on there , although others blagg for everything using several family disaters time and time again , then you see them at carboots elling the items whilst driving around in brand new 4 x 4!!!!!!

We are avid freecyclers. We had 40 sq yds of paving slabs from someone - they only needed power washing and they were fine. We gave away a 28" flatscreen tv to a family, and they sent us pictures of the kids watching Pirates of the Caribbean on it, and they were so grateful. It's brilliant, but like Tanya says, you hear of people looking for stuff, and you can almost guarantee they will be taking it all to the next car boot!! Never heard of cheapcycle, but I'm off to have a look now

Ivie used out local one, got a freezer for the dog tripe and got rid of and old computer monitor and scanner, i think its great

I use freecycle, both to give and receive. But when I have something I think would be sellable in a charity shop, I prefer to give it to charity. And sometimes when I see people advertising about dogs I email them and suggest they go through a rescue centre or a site such as k9.
