Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know, that if you live in Bristol, there is a brilliant new Facebook group run by Animal House Vets, which is an independent group of vets across Bristol. Basically, if you have a question about your pet's health, just post it and their Senior Head Vet will respond! Simple as that. No strings, no need to be a customer of theirs already - you just need to have a pet and live in Bristol! :)

Thanks everyone,

Lovely idea! I've just applied to join the group

Sounds good for straightforward things but how can you be confident of an accurate diagnosis without a hands-on examination? That said, a lot of insurance companies offer a similar service; I suppose the safety net is 'if in doubt see your vet'.

Oh yes, the questions are general pet health ones, but of course if there is any need for a hands-on exam, people are referred to their vet. :)

Mmm, I think I would rather call my own vet. Thank you.
I don't like Facebook either!

Obviously no good to me either as Im not even in the uk.

But , I have to see the good side. if this is promoted via FB on a local "around Bristol" group then maybe it would help lower the barrier for many people seeking advice and help them get proper professional advice instead getting the total rubbish that lurks on the internet in general and calls itself good advice, Im talking about people who are convinced that waving burning sage and giving a dog coconut oil will prevent parvo and such nonsense.

Anything that tries to combat the tidal wave of hogwash and stupidity is fine by me and who knows it could save lives.
