Fred And Stan Had Visitors Today

Gillian and Muffin popped over today. After a rather wet walk they were invited back for a cup of tea. Muffin was the typical curious whippet and had his nose in everything at first...

Then he found the dogs' toy basket tucked away beside the sofa... :-

'Clear off', says Stan...'that's mine not yours....'

He does a quick stock check....'you just can't trust these tea-leafing whippets!', he mutters.

'Now, now Muffin...mind your manners!', admonishes mum Gillian

'Ok then...I'll be good...' sighs Muffin :wub:

Actually he was the perfect house guest (wish I could say the same for Gillian :- ..only joking!)...and he played really nicely with Stanley. It was good to see Stanley having some fun!

Toy basket??????????

We have one of those. Toddy's sole purpose in life to remove the contents onto our bed.

I didn't notice Muffin having a nose around! Stan's definitely a bit worried about his toys there. :lol: We enjoyed the walk even if it was a bit wet and thanks for the cup of tea! :thumbsup:

Yes...they hardly ever bother with it, only when guest whippets take an interest :- It receives more interest from friends' visiting toddlers :lol:

You've got that old fireplace in beautiful condition In my last house we found one of those in every bedroom upstairs - they'd been bricked up but the original grates were still there and one of them still had the surround. Unfortunately the mantelpieces were gone I tried to restore them as best as I could but they were nothing like your one!!!

Thanks Jane. I'll pass your comments on to the OH ..he quite often polishes it with that black grate polish. He managed to get some on the carpet last time and tread it around the room and it just doesn't come out. :nuke:
