 Was stewarding at Edwinstowe Open show today where a certainly lady called Debbie had entered four classes with 3 dogs and won them ALL plus BOB Elmanash Eliza at Denimonde.
It was not a particularly large entry as there were some absentees, but Debbie well deserved her success. Think she felt a bit embarrassed as to how she might handle 3 dogs for BOB, but she overcame it by dragging other folk into it.
She got group 3 although I think she wuz robbed  . Judge gave it to a Beagle, no surpise really as that's his principal breed.
 WELL DONE DEBBIE COS YOU'VE GOT TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT.
Glad I'm not in Borzois though. There were only a 3 Borzois turned up and the tra la la they made about the ring, saying they were going to complain to the KC about the ring size. It was more than the regulation minimum and then they DEMANDED that the judging table be moved as they needed all the available space to move their dogs. Funny, the judge didn't want the table moved, but in the end it was. Then to cap it all, there was only a 1 class wonder and then a 2 class wonder. We'd all like big rings but there was ample room. Thank goodness whippet exhibitors ( :- " ) never grumble about small rings and so on.
It was a lovely day weatherwise and all the judging was done outside. They had some huge entries in the gundog classes, 60's and 70 plus in 4 of the breeds, which made their class average 5.13, which is really good considering it's Bath weekend.
