Hi All,

My Name is Jade Scott i am a committee member of Fordingbridge and East Dorset Whippet Racing Club. I dont know how many of you are aware of us, but we are a small club who are currently struggling to make numbers to run club meetings. So i thought i would post on here in case anybody was interested, we have a few pedigree members, Sue and Terry Ward and Mark and Lesley Sherring, we run alternative weeks to Andover and in the summer training evenings on wednesdays, we welcome everybody, whippets, luchers, terriers anything that wants to run or try is welcome at our club.

Ooo, I'm near East Dorset, do you hold any activities down this way or in the Forest? I haven't got whippets though - but I'm sure the small lurcher, and the Beddie would have fun.

Like i said we catter for all, if you think your dogs will have fun then they can run up together on there own or if enuff people turn up with similar type dogs then possibly run them together. Obviously the racing whippets and lurchers do not run together but they are welcome additions to our club.

Does the club still hold meetings at Fordingbridge Recreation Ground. Could you post meeting dates on the k9 calender?

Next meeting at Fordingbridge is next Sunday 22nd January and after that its Sunday 5th February and Sunday 19th February. This is weather permitting, before travelling please ring Andy on 01425 657835

All are very welcome. I live right on the south coast and its 18 miles to Fordingbridge and yes, its still held on the sports ground, nr. river. See you all there.

Can't make this weeks (going to a horsey thing) but I'll come and watch on 5th Feb to see what / how it's done etc.
