Hi all , last week we had a query as to whether there would be a safe run in on the track for the NNWRF open that we will be staging in July. Because this open is run over 160yds front dog, they use our 175yd line as the finishing last.

The photographs that I posted last week apparantley appeared to make it look as if the end of our track had a shingle pathway at the end where the dogs would be finishing. We have taken some more photographs today to put racers minds at ease that it is a very safe track to run on. Nothing about the finishing at the end of the track has changed since previous years.

Bert & Michael measured the distance from the finishing line that the NNWRF would be using, and it gives us a 40yd run in area. At the 165yd finishing line gives us an even longer run in distance.

I will post the photographs now,if anyone has any concerns about the track please contact either Bert or myself and we can put your mind at ease. The first photograph is from the 175yd finishing line down

This is Bert stood at the very very end of track, but dogs finish well before that point

As you can probably just see, the pathway is behind Bert among the trees. There used to be some bushes behind the path but they have all been cut away by the groundsman.

Hope to see you all soon
