Great day at the club today, The weather was nothing special and we only had a few members
who risked trialing their dogs but it was great fun.
Pete & Jenny Sullivan are giving their two youngsters some idea of what is to come when they are old enough
to run the whole length of the track. Pete used to be in racing many years ago when we had the likes of Johnny Mack ( for those of you who must have raced with SINGING WIND ) all those years ago. So it's nice to see him & Jenny giving whippet racing another go . Mark Cooper has two very promising youngsters being put through their paces.
Michael Southwood also has two youngsters who are being put to the test to see if they are learning anything
each time they come to the track.
Bert only gave Notorious a couple of runs, and we only gave Chalky a couple of runs, but it keeps them on their toes
ready for next week-end
After racing the men did some very needed repairs to our storage shed. It's amazing what a few screws and nails
and odd bits of wood can do. I asked if it could be painted green to blend in with the trees ( you can imagine what the answer was ) No doubt the local kids will now want to see what is in there now that it's not full of holes & falling off it's hinges. Well done gang you did a grand job, can you come and do me some fitted wardrobes after the CHAMPS.
