This looks amazing - has anyone done it? been to watch it?

Flyball is a dog sport in which teams of dogs race against each other from a start/finish line, over a line of hurdles, to a box that releases a tennis ball to be caught when the dog presses the spring-loaded pad, then back to their handlers while carrying the ball. Flyball is run in teams of four dogs, as a relay. Info found here: Flyball

We tried it at a local fun dog event. But as Timber isn't bothered about balls in any way whatsoever, it was never going to be a moment of glory for him.

Ah that would put a spanner in the works. Maybe if it was food that was released at the end it would be a different matter!

You have got him sussed! Ooh - fly bowl?

I think my springer would love this! I've just got in touch with a club that is running locally & I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks for this great forum!

I was advised never to do this with Jasper - it can be obsessive for some dogs and he's got a fragile brain that is easily fried:D

I'm always cheering for the teams that have lurchers in them and not just collies when watching Crufts. Not that I'm biased or anything;)
