Yes, my husband set off at 2.45 to travel 60 miles from Glossop to a conference in Swanwick, Derbyshire. He rang at 6.10 to say he was just south of Sheffield, so a journey that normally takes about 45 minutes had taken him nearly 3 and a half hours! Goodness knows what time he will arrive in Swanwick - hope they keep his tea warm for him!! :- "

Ne'er mind evacuated some of us is STILL STUCK at work here in Sheffield as the roads are ****** impassible. About 30 of us at the moment - several of whom set off home and gave it up as a bad job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Richard (not Dawn who is at home being kept warm by a straggle of whippets )
