FLea/worm treatment break in between?

Hi

Got Bruce's flea and worm treatment last Friday, they said to leave 7days gap between using them. I did the flea treatment first as he was scratting a lot and although I couldn't see fleas I wanted to rule it out. Whilst out on his walk just now, he has done poop and when I went to pick it up sure enough there was a thick, spaghetti lookalike, thing moving through his soft light brown poop. I double bagged my hand and cringed at picking it up.

Now my question. Vet said seven days after flea treatment, I can use the wormer. It's been 4 days, he can't have it until Friday. Is this absolutely necessary or can I get away with giving him it today?

Flea stuff is Advocate med dog
Wormer is milquantel sml dog

Sorry, my knowledge of parasite treatment is absolutely rubbish. Does your insurance have a phone helpline you could call? But if not, if you can keep going with the good management (poo picking) until morning, your vet will likely be open again and can advise you.
