First Rabbits

The Blues Brothers caught their first adult rabbits today.Blue caught his from a 10m bolt from a bury, it was well taken.Max had a bolted rabbit aldult fom a bury along some crops it was a tractor print trail,the rabbit was fully grown and and a worthwile course at least 60m a brilliant tumbled catch,

the rabbit was turned over then Max killed the rabbit.A great days ferretting, with brilliant whippet results.

I am so chuffed to see the Blue Brothers do what there meant to do, the speed was simply awesome

Used to eat it a lot when my grandma was alive - and when OH used to go shooting but havnt had it for ages. Couldnt skin one then eat it - Oh NO. :x

but I can skin one and have done so, but long time ago now. It does actually taste really nice roasted - a bit like chicken but slightly stronger flavoured.

I think its since Ive had pet ones :thumbsup:

One of our local takeaways does game curry, venison, rabbit and pheasant :blink:

Ours kills very cleanly, with a firm bite to the chest with a bit of a shake, but then runs off and has a go at disembowelling it so I've never really fancied them afterwards. :x

A load of the little :rant: have been disturbed by building works and have moved into 'our' field (and next door's garden, so bye-bye this year's veggies :angry: ), so ours has a decent little bunny run every morning now.
