Just thought I'd share a couple of pics of the brothers we met today, we've obviously fallen in love:D:Dnow we just have to take Sid to meet them and if he's happy with them and them with him it looks like we'll be adopting both! Couldn't possibly separate brothers now could we...

OMG! Absolutely gorgeous :) they are so sweet! I love ferrets my husband really wants some but we decided to wait especially with having my whippets lol I hope sid gets on well with them you'll have to let me know.

They are so cute! I do hope Sid gets on with them.

They look awesome...

Must admit, I don’t think i’ve ever seen one myself.
What do they do during the day? I assume they live in the house with humans, rather than like chickens (outside)... do people who live in towns have them, or are they usually found on farms or other rural areas?

Some people have them to work, rabbiting, a lot of people have them as pets and they can be kept outside or inside. Mine have all lived indoors, they stay in a large cage with hammocks, comfy bedding and a litter tray but come out at least twice a day for playtime, then they really like to go back to bed and sleep! They are great fun to have around, some people just have them in the house with an open cage so they can go to bed when they want. Have a look at ferret antics on youtube and you'll get an idea of them, bet they will make you laugh!

Just a quick update on the ferret situation, we took Sid to meet them and all was well, no bad reactions, all very relaxed around each other and he even sat there while one groomed him..hooray! We took them all home with a temporary cage to keep them seperate for a few days with playtimes together and then Sid decided he wasn't that keen on them afterall and he's looked really pi**ed off ever since:confused::(!! The brothers, Goose and Iggy are thankfully really lovely natured and are tolerating Sid launching himself at them at least once each for every time they are out together, then he takes himself off and ignores everyone, hmm.. really hoping he settles to them and enjoys a good play again but if not we'll just have to keep them living seperate, oh well, best laid plans and all that!! Have been trying to get photos but when they are out they move too quick and I just end up with a blur :D

We used to keep ferrets, we had a large outside cage with an upstairs and downstairs. They were very happy and active little things, often having exciting games and tumbles around in their cage. We used them for ferreting and bolting rabbits when the rabbits were not breeding. But no matter how clean they were kept, they were stinky little things, PHEW :oops::oops:

Thought it was about time (actually it's just that I have a huge amount of time on my hands now and no dogs to walk or board:().. but yes an update on the ferrets! Sid has finally, in the last month, decided that actually he wants to play with the boys, hurray:D!!! They still live separately but over the last few months every now and then I have let them all out together, usually ending up in a scrap and an upset Sid(even though he was the one starting it:confused:) The boys have been incredibly patient but to be fair they do have a limit too! But I persevered with occasional together play times and randomly Sid started to instigate play... unfortunately the boys seemed to think he was trying to trick them by this point and chose to either ignore him or go for him.. but amazingly Sid didn't give up trying, so proud!! Now we're at the stage where they all will actually play together for a while with no upsets:), which after all this time is so lovely to see, really chuffed! Sid has randomly started doing roly polys of joy, one happy ferret,at last! Will try and post some pictures, when my daughter emails me some( my phone won't talk to the computer so I can't access my picso_O)

Aw yes would love to see some photos and even a video!

After months of my phone not talking to computer my daughter finally got round to helping me... she came in and first thing she said was 'so, have you plugged it in with this lead??' Um no... in my defense the pics are supposed to automatically get backed up on my cloud (somehow), didn't even think to try and plug it in, big 'DOH' moment... so when my husband and daughter finally stopped laughing she loaded all my pics on the laptop, hurray!! So here are a few ferret pics.. our Sid has been a bit poorly the last few days:(, have had a phone consultation with vet and picked up some meds for him so fingers crossed.. IMG_20190730_192736.jpgits really hard to get a pic of them altogether! Sid is the cute sleepy one, Goose (aka Chaos) is the large polecat and Iggy (aka Bedlam) is the albino.. apologies if too many pics!! Will try and get a video maybe over the next few days..

Aw, thanks for posting these photos, Flobo. I love ferrets - they're like a cross between rats and JRTs:)

I love the one with Bedlam in the flower pot! Ferrets are always up to mischief.

we used to have them at my old work and you had to wear wellies because the minute you walked in (they were housed in a stable) they would cling on to them and try and get up your trouser leg :D

Ok, was trying to up load a couple of ferret videos but was unsuccessful..here's a pic of a sleepy Sid instead!

Hey @Flobo - if you want to upload a video you’ll have to use YT or some third party like that and then post the embed code in the message or add it in the video icon above :)

Great, thankyou. Will get daughter to interpret thato_O and help me:D

This morning I finally found the tv remote that Sid had pinched a few days ago, it was stashed flat against the wall, right under a shelf unit with an old fluffy slipper covering it! While I was busy searching again last night, Goose decided that he wanted the biscuit right at the bottom of a new bag of kibble:emoji_face_palm:, he is the brown blur in the picture, legging it with said biscuit, Iggy, although in the bag, was not the culprit! Ferrets have no shame!:D
