Here's Fergal this afternoon. It's a bit of a wonky stack, and he's soaking wet because he's just been for a soggy walk!

We had a match night at ringcraft the other week and he got a 4th in puppy and 3rd in movement :) (out of about 10 in each class).

AND I have taken the plunge and entered him for his first Open Show - in Stroud in November! (w00t)

He loves ringcraft, but I am still struggling with getting him to stand properly on the table (he's happier on the ground), and he tends to lose it a bit when the judge goes over him - he wants to leap up and down and say hello to the judge! Need to keep practising ready for November!

He looks lovely   and well done at match night clever boy

Very nice puppy, just get the front legs back a bit and head not so high but otherwise very good.

fergal is lovely

I think you could do quite well with him. As I keep saying, I'm not an expert and i don't show whippets, but he looks quite nice to me.

He's looking lovely!! Having met him in the flesh I'm amazed you can get him to stand still long enough for a photo, he's such a lovely energetic springy boy!!

Good luck for November :luck:

Fergal is looking really nice. Show him on the floor if you wish, some people do.

Looking good! Congrats on his placings!

Thanks for comments about Fergal!

Would a judge penalise you for showing on the floor rather than on the table? Would you have to ask if that was OK before the start of the class, or do you just stack your dog on the floor instead of the table when it's your turn? Sorry if these are dumb questions ... I've never been to other than a companion show before!!
