Hi im thinking of changing the feed i give my bitch pup 10 months away from Royal canin junior cooked meat and veg over to a complete meal like Austrailian Formula.What i want to know is should i mix this formula feed with cooked meat and veg or will the cooked meat increase the protein too much.Any suggestions??

would think mixing austrailian with meat would be very high % protein.what ive heard its best feed by itself.

if you wanting to mix meat/veg better off going for something 20/22% protein.

i use trophy working dog 24% main meal raw mince or pilchards plenty of tinned tomatoes.i am big beliver in dorwest herbs, keepers mix .i use quiet a lot of there products. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

:ermm: Hi there, Gary! I feed Supadog Active with fresh veg! Because it's not too high in Protein, I am able to put a bit, (and I mean a bit) of meat with it! Those that do not race, still have the same food as those that do and I haven't had any problems, thus far! To me, if you find a food, that suits your dogs, i.e Their coats, stools are good and they perform well for you, why change? If it aint broke, why fix it! :ermm:

Feeding meat with Australian formula will not increase the protein content at all because mince beef is around 25% protein and cheap stuff can be as low as 15% so if you substitute complete food you might be lowering the protein. Obviously veg instead of meat will lower the protein by much more

20% we feed we add meat fish veg ect ..ive feed Austrlian in the past all our dogs ran well and good health
