With the dollar how it is at the moment it's not actually that much more really than the Hide & Collars ones.

I've always found the collars we've had from America to be superb quality.

I love the hide collar ones. Very good quality.

You've just got to remember that when importing goods from anywhere outside the EU, sales over £18.00 incur import duty, vat and an £8.00 handling fee from Royal Mail.

These collars are really lovely....you cant beat English Bridle leather...these collars should last a lifetime Katie... I rinse mine with a bit of saddle soap or I have been known to use a bit of soapy water...then brush a bit of oil over and rub it in...like new again.

I really prefer leather collars.

they are gorgeous but so expensive!

are they easy to keep clean and looking good?

ive bought the brasso, which i love the smell of  and got leather soap and leather feed, then i wanted a buffing machine to get them shiny so looked on ebay in america and found a shoe buffer (w00t) so bought it only thing was when i got it i then needed a transformer to bring the voltage down  .

all you really need is the soap and feed and plenty of elbow grease

I got something for Megan sent to me from America and the company I bought it from kindly ticked gift on the parcel and put the value a lot less than it was and I payed via paypal, so she never had to put receipt in the parcel either just in case customs opened it up

It depends how much work they have on at Mt Pleasant, I buy lots of stuff from America, at least two or three time per week, some times I'm lucky and sometimes I'm not.

It's around $36 dollars and then it hits customs. If the sender has marked it as gift then the rate is higher and so more likely to bypass customs. The going rate is £18.00 on normal purchases before you incur Vat. There is plenty about it on the web if you wish to look.

Buying a collar at that sort of price would more than likely incur customs charges and it is worth others knowing then they do not land an unexpected bill.
