Just thought I might scare myself

last night at agility Daisy had a real problem jumping to the left making no effort to go over the jump and ducking under, doing the same thing but the other way she had no problem at all. The jumps were side by side and we were practising front crosses, if I went between the jumps to the other side to feed her over she was fine. it was like by herself she just wasnt picking up that there was an obstacle at all. Daisy missing tight turn jumps isnt new but last night it was very obvious she was having issues seeing

shes off to the vets later for a check up but I just thought I would ask on here if there are any known problems with whippet eyes

just to let you know the vet didnt really find anything wrong with her and its prolly just the way she is

but I owed it to her to get checked out

Was this a new move you were training for? Sometimes I think a dog, like people, tend to be more right-handed or left-handed and find some new moves a bit akward at first? Good luck :luck:

no, not a new one, but I think your right she's always had a problem with tight jumps but never noticed that it was only one way before, its ok we can work round it. If the Kennel Club were kind there would be a fourth height and it wouldnt be so tricky for her to see the jump

Although the vet didn't find anything I think you did the right thing, I'd have done the same if I was in your position.
