Last night was just walking to get the fish and chips.. Took the old girl Willow for a little stretch. Ended up getting attacked outside my house by one of the neighbours boarder terrier.

Got her too the vets straight away and picked her up within a few hours. The worst thing is we are going to Dorset this weekend. So no runs on the beach & shes only allowed to walk to go too the loo

The cuts were both sides on her back end at quite a size, luckily more of a rip than puncture. Vet bill is at £250, which is at the other owners expense :sweating:

Please could anyone recommend a vet in the swanage/poole area just incase there are any problems while we are away

This is the least sore side. The other cut is more on the muscle so have been told to be very careful as there is alot of tension where it has been stitched together.

Caroline :)

por willow that looks sore

glad there paying vet bill

send gentle hugs to willow

hope healing is quick

Thank you caroline and tina!!

I m hopeing it looks worse than it actually is.. Ive had worse from self inflicted problems but wouldnt expect that from a little walk to get your dinner. Shes managed to travel down on or holiday but hoping we dont get no problems with the stiches on her back end :sweating:

Oh the poor soul, that looks so painful , hope she feels better soon :(

Painted Lady on here lives in the Poole area and will know the best vet in that area.

Hope you enjoy your holiday as much as possible

So sorry to here this Tom, I've got a similar story with a strawberry, but the end result is the same, two dogs to the vets and all they are aloud is ten minutes walk per day, :( it's driving me mad, (it's just not the same walking two dogs and not four) :( I hope Willow makes a good recovery, and get the owner to pay the vet bill. di

Thanks for the other comments!! Found a nice little vets in swanage (which was visited twice)

The one side has healed up very nicely But the other side may need re stiching  She has only been walked for the loo, lifted on and off her bed. Were she stretches, it dosent seemed of healed as well as expected.. So back down the vets tomorrow

Thank you worcester whippeters.

Got her back from the vets again today. Shes been restitched as the last lot only really closed the gap - Vets done a great job today and done some triple layer stitching to hopefully ensure thats the bloody lot :luck:

Put some pictures up next week when shes up and about, vets take soo much hair off. Shes only just starting to get her hair back from her cists being removed, she'll raise a few eyebrows thats for sure (w00t)

 Ooo sorry to hear about poor Willow Tom, hope she's a sensible girlie and gives herself a chance to heal properly

I'm glad the other owners are doing the decent thing with the bill - some folks can be idiots can't they :clown:

Hope to see you at the weekend to catch up - take care you and yours!

Thanks Sheona - and thanks again to everyone else

Just got back from the vets Again.

First lot of stitches are out fine as expected, Stitches also out on back muscle although they probably could of been re stitched for the 3rd time. The wound is now to be treated as a open wound - obviously kept clean still no walks etc etc. Be two weeks friday and still not much progress.

The open wound seems very big for me but is a huge decrease on orignal size and vet obviously knows best - so just hope for the best now ;)

O Tom, poor Willow, they must be very vicious dogs. That wound looks very sore and open yet. The head shield will keep her away from it. Now that the air can get at it , it will heal up quicker. Can you imagine if that had of been a child, those dogs would of pulled her to pieces. Why were they not on leads or in runs. Disgraceful. We wish Willow a speedy recovery. She is so precious to you.She is in good hands and enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Just a little update on the old girl.. It will be 4 weeks this friday since the attack and 2 weeks tomorrow since the wound was treated as an open 'wound'

The day after it was treated as an open wound it opened right up and looked very nasty, but with time it is now healing up nicely.

Shes been around a few dogs and has been very good
