Well at last ive came to the end of last weeks pix. When i left the Solway Coast i headed inland for Dumfries as id past a sign for some kind of Scottish fetival and games. so i pulled in and killed a couple of hours at it. all sorts of stuff going on ranging from food stalls thru to swords and hatchet throwers (bit like West Belfast).
there was a cracking band thumping out some drum and bass unlike stuff these days this band were garbed in gear from "rob roy" or even "braveheart".
hammer throwing....eeek imagine being grabbed by the ankle and chucked like this ! :wacko:
or thrown over a bar....
or used for target practice ....
but imagine getting a trip in this..."The Mystery Machine" !! :thumbsup:
time to move on now. my ferry was waiting but id one last stop of to make.....and that was to be "Carsluith Castle" on the A75 to Stranraer.
