Entry Forms

I have a whippet pup ready to show in 4 weeks and going to Sutton Coldfield for our first show, but i am totally confused by the entry forms!!

I think i know what i am doing as i asked someone at ringcraft class but i seem to be taking in a lot of information at the classes and by the time i get home i am too knackered to even consider looking again.

I take it that i enter him into the MP Whippet class but can he be entered into any other classes.

I suppose i am just flapping about nothing and once i get started i will get the hang of it.

Is there a minor puppy in the breed class? If not you can enter in puppy or junior, or yearling depending on what they're offering. For your first show I would probably only enter one class to see how he gets on.

You could enter him in an AV puppy class, but I find for the first couple of shows one class is more than enough for them to take in

As Wendy says Puppy Whippet is probably best for starters, or Minor puppy if there is one. Later when he knows what its all about there is Any variety Puppy or Puppy stakes or Av Puppy hound. Start slowly then niether of you will get stressed about where in the show you are meant to be.

Pleased to hear Ringcraft is helping you with that side of things, some of them just concentrate on what happens IN the ring.

I ahvea copy of the Sutton Coldfield schedule. You could enter class 9 Whippet puppy and you could enter class 10 but you will up against dogs who are a lot older. There are no variety classes to enter at this show which is a shame. Hope that helps Jan
