Awwwww

How cute are they!!!

I used to have a gerbil called Coco when I was a kid, she was very tame and we used to take her on holiday with us to Suffolk :)

As I remember, her favourite occupation was shredding toilet paper to make into a lovely cosy bed for herself

i used to have them as a kid Jane, started with 2....i told dad i thought 1 was eating all the food....but then one morning mum looked in the cage and id gone from 2 ......to 8   .....they were ment to both be female but needless to say they i think 1 was a little lad! (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)

i had to take them all back to the pet shop and they sorted out all the girls and i took them back home ;)

How cute :)

I have one, his brother died not so long back

but i wont get another, he may get bullied

now he's getting on.

Julie and Elisha they are gorgeous  Looks like they have a nice setup there too. Give 'em a bit of bog roll as well, and they will be as happy as ...... well gerbils with bog roll  :teehee:

my kids had them when they were younger one bit me I had to have my rings cut of and antibiotics for 2 weeks

Gorgeous colours , don't know how deep your floor covering is but you want it to be as deep as possible preferably about 6 inches . They burrow and make tunnels . We had two , they lived in an old toy box and they used to pop up from their tunnels . They don't need cleaned out as much as other small furries as they don't smell :D

yes they have their bog rolls june! :b

i brought the a gerbilarium from pets@home, but they dont seem to be going up to the top part, the top looks like a hamster cage  the shavings are really deep and Elisha loves wathcing them dig ;) ....i might try to get hole of an old fish tank (but bigger than the gerbilarium) to keep them in that what i kept mine is as a kid  il keep an eye on them to make sure they venture to the top....as this is where the food and water is ment to be kept....i have moved the water down and they both had a good drink :sweating:

they are so cute

Is it this cage you've got? If so, have fun cleaning it, its a chuffing nightmare  The stupid ladder just seems to get in the way and all the time I'm trying to stop three little spiney mice from pinging out of the tank part :clown:

I love your new gerbils, lovely colours  I used to keep them when I was at school but haven't had any for years now. I think I might have to get some more in a few years time :))
