Earthquake,awful

been watching the news about that awful earthquake them poor people watching the tsunami coming towards them after getting shook all over the place,then having a wall of hell knows what smashing into you its a heartbreaking site..

has anyone on here been in a earthquake we have it was in turkey late 90s it was a 5.8 it shook the hotel till it nearly fell down

and the noise god i,we will never forget it and it was nothing to what them poor people has to face,,

we had to sleep outside for 3 nights till a big jumbo jet plane took us home.i will never forget it,everyone on the plane cheered we were the last ones on the plane,there was big boulders on the road we had to dodge around as those of you who know its high roads in the mountains,scary old roads in turkey..the travel companies wont rush to get you out,so don't think they will get you straight out..

there was a small i say small as it wasn't as big as the tsunami they had but the waves went over to rodes and wiped a few boats out in the marina over there..anyway its a new topic to discuss its a change to put on here and let other members read about things you have been involved in..Kenny

(w00t) A FEW YEARS AGO, WHEN I WAS AN INTERNATIONAL DEMONSTRATOR FOR MY JOB, I WAS IN NEW ZEALAND AND IN DUNEDIN IN PARTICULAR. I T WAS A SUNDAY MORNING AND I WAS JUST POTTERING AROUND MY HOTEL ROOM, WHEN I FELT A RUMBLING AND THE ROOM BEGAN TO SHAKE. I, IN MY IGNORANCE, THOUGHT IT WAS A HEAVY LOORY GOING PAST, WHICH DIDN'T WORRY ME, UNTIL I HAD PEOPLE POUNDING ON MY DOOR AND ASKING "WAS i ALRIGHT"? WHEN THEY TOLD ME THAT WE'D JUST HJAD A TREMOR OF 6.3 THAT'S WHEN MY LEGS' WENT! JUST GOES TO SHOW THAT IGNORANCE IS BLISS! I PITY THOSE POOR SOULS FOR WHOM IT'S ALL TOO REAL. I KNOW THIS MUCH, WE DON'T KNOW WE'RE BORN! (w00t) :wub:
