Dry and crusty inside ears

Hi. My mum's old jack russell who is diabetic had developed very sore dry crusty itchy ears. It almost looks like mange but is only inside the ears. Any ideas?

Its a visit t the vets im afraid..never mess about with eyes or ears, especially if they have underlying illneses

It is a known fact that a natural raw diet can help aid diabetis in dogs and so many other itchy and allergy problems too.
