Our dog is 5 years old and seems to have injured his back leg. He jumped for his ball 2 weeks ago and seemed to twist funny. He was a bit shocked by it and lay on the ground for a minute, but was not lame and carried on his walk (on his lead).

The day after (whilst on a lead walk) he seemed to catch his foot in a divit - we were walking in a field- and this time yelped and fell down. We took him straight home but again, he was not lame after this.

Since then he seems to struggle if he stretches his back leg out behind him and has not been able to jump onto our bed. He comes up for a cuddle in the morning. We are a bit confused because he seems OK 95% of the time. He has just stretched out his leg whilst climbing under the coffee table and again yet out a yelp.

Does anyone have any ideas. I've just posted about his night time toilet habits changing lately in another post but I don't think the two are related because his getting up in the night to pee has been going on for about a month where as this happened two weeks ago.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot

Jo

A visit to the vet would be your best plan. Good luck.
