Hi everyone I'm new to this. I have a 5yr old yorkie. He has food allergies and environmental allergies. His food allergies are chicken, turkey, pork, and cows milk. He has a household allergy to dust mites also but this is only minor as the food allergies are the main problem.

He has been on a new diet for just over a month and really is responding well. He suffered with dry paws, swollen and inflamed ears and very bad dry skin. Slowly starting to notice an improvement with his ears and skin but he is still licking his paws a lot. He bites them so much that sometimes they are red raw and he makes himself limp. Can anyone recommend some ways I can get him to stop licking. I was his feet every 2 days in special shampoo which I feel is working but it's inbetween I need a solution.

Any advice is appreciated. Many thanks, Courtney :)

Hi guys thanks for advice. I'm already using the stink stuff which is helping. Don't really want to go down medication route as the new diet is proving to show effect. I think the paw licking is just habit with him now

What type of food are you feeding your chap ?

We had many issues with Yianni before we also discovered he had a food allergy, he is also allergic to chicken. We feed him raw and make his food ourselves but we also use essential dog dermal scratch spray for any flare ups, it has absolutely saved us worrying constantly over him being in discomfort if does develop any rashes. Now we know the cause this is quite rare but always on hand for us to stop him itching and is all natural.
