Dog Whisperer

Has anyone tried using Jan Fennells, Dog Whisperer training methods? I read her books years ago and dug them out again last night after another very stressful walk.

I have not. A quick google search brings up a lot of articles, with a common theme of dogs being pack animals, in need of a strong alpha leader, learning the rank in the pack, etc... Even though seems milder than the US Dog Whisperer's approach in his early days, still not my cuppa.
