Thought I'd let you know that my persistance not to accept the 14 day 'cooling off period' just for changing the level of cover has been successful with my current insurers. In order to keep my dog insured I continued with the higher level insurance by paying Direct Debit but this has been deducted from the premium due on the lower level. It obviously pays to take insurance companies on for such a ridiculous stipulation.
