if any members from the UK or EU plan to visit the U-S, & for everyone else around the globe, here's an international search-site for hotels, etc, that welcome pets -

BringFido.com - Pet Friendly Hotel & Dog Travel Directory

U enter the city & country, & they do the rest - there are filters for max-cost, etc.

U can also use AirBnB, which lets U filter for hosts who allow pets - then U stay in what may be a private home with the host or host-family, or U might stay in a "total conversion" - an empty property, & all the temporary tenants are other travelers.

Having done both over my long homeless period, i much-prefer to live in an occupied house, with my host/s. The converted properties are for-profit ventures, often owned by realtors or investors, & they not only charge more, they often provide minimal "amenities", such as AC when it's 85' F outside, & over-90 indoors. *panting*
They want to realize as much margin as possible, B4 the state-regulations catch up with them & they must begin paying tax, etc, on their ill-gotten gains. :(
