Dog Doors (Dog Flaps) - Advice Needed

hi there - I am moving house and need to install a new dog door. The options for the door are through glass patio doors or the actual external wall (i.e. quite thick) Does anybody know what I can do? I have been to several sites but they all say you can't put the door through glass as it is not strong enough - I have three cockers that love their garden space so need to work out what to do urgently

The only downside I've heard about these is that they don't work so well if you are, uhhhh, large-boned. The dog door part takes up some of the normal human doorspace, so it effectively makes the human door a little smaller. For most people it isn't an issue.
