Hi this may be a long post and I hope it’s allowed
I dont really want to give much away about my experience incase for some reason it gets back to the breeder. I know this is a long shot but has anyone had any bad experiences with a breeder on the Suffolk/Norfolk border? I cant be the only one who has had a terrible experience going by the volume of puppy?s that are being produced. This breeder breeds roughly 8 different breeds of dogs they use a different mobile number for them and put up fake names and locations. I?ve tried reporting them as some of the mothers are covered in scars and it?s just lies after lies tho no one seems to care. I?m not sure where I could look to see if anyone else is complaining about the same person but I don?t want to give up on this and have more families go through what I did.
Dog breeds are
Boxers
Pugs
Chow chows
Pomeranians
French Bulldog
Bulldog
Bernese mountain dogs

Who have you tried reporting them too? I found this on the Kennel Club website:

Local Councils, animal health officers and the police have the power to enforce the law. If you suspect somebody is a puppy farmer report them to the RSPCA, the police, or your Local Authority.

'Reporting them' can mean a variety of things. If you have a collection of bits of information then the best way is to assemble into a file and get a meeting with your local council- an an RSPCA officer. Be careful of course for your sake not to be putting down on paper anything you can't prove. At a meeting you can give your suspicions verbally- also what others may have told you and explain you lack documentary evidence for it so can only give this in confidence. Good luck because only by people such as yourself being willing to act will cruelty be contested. Well done you.

I reported them to local council - who said they have now made them council registered but 6 months on they haven’t appreared in the councils public register.
RSPCA - didnt seem to care
Trading standards - they said it’s not up to them but the local council
Kennel club wasn’t bothered either

I have a big ring binder folder of adverts the phone numbers used a vets report from my dog. I have loads to prove their lies

All I can say is try again if you can. It took us six months to get something done about some ponies left in very poor conditions. All you can do is say each time- Nothing seems to have been done. Who is dealing with this? When can I expect some feedback please? In the end try- 'I've gone to a great deal of trouble trying to be a good citizen here.' Also if you're dealing with a council funded body get to speak to your councillor. They have the power to be a pain to public servants!

I would definitely try the RSPCA...they operate under the power of their own act of parliament, so they can also approach it from a different angle to the council.

Contact the local newspapers, the RSPCA will get involved if they think there is good media!! Try other animal rescues around the area, they might be able to put pressure on the council. I would go back to the council and RSPCA and tell them you’re giving them one last chance before you involve the media. If they are selling Kennel Club registered dogs phone the Kennel Club again and ask do they realise they are condoning puppy farming and cruelty, let them know you are putting it all over social media, you have proof and you have also contacted the media. I would then put it on social media and get it shared as much as possible. If there is enough attention someone has to do something plus other buyers may come forward with further evidence. To be honest my temper would get the better of me and I would storm their premises with a camera
