Hi,

We have just rescued a Maltese Yorkshire terrier, he's 2 years and 4 months, I was thinking about getting a small ball for him or a frisbee, or both? I was looking at the Kong balls as he came to us with one, but they have a squeaker in them and as he has split the one he has he will do that to any new ones and I'm concerned about him swallowing the squeaker, any thoughts advice appreciated.

Many Thanks

Steve

Hi,

I bought my dog a dog frisbee on Saturday which he took to straight away, which is unusual for him. The only downside is I noticed spots of blood on it which I think is due to him biting down on it when it's not flat in his mouth, and the edges are making contact with his gums. That said, he had a operation two weeks ago to remove a tooth, so it may be the remnants of that. Maybe something to keep an eye on.

Thanks JoanneF, I've gone for the small one with th launcher:-

Should be with me tomorrow.

Thnaks for that, there is soo much to coose from, I'll try the ball and launcher, he likes playing with the ball

Kong make a frizbee that is made of rubbery material. They call it the Kong Flyer. It flies well and can be used as a tug toy too. My dog loves his.

I've received the small launcher, there aren't many around that take small balls, so I was pleased to fond it, unfortunately I didn't really read the description, it comes with a small tennis ball, I thought it came with the ball that JoanneF advised on, I'll see how it is before I get a different ball, we can't let our dog off the lead ey, we've only had him a week.

once I know if he is OK with not running off etc I'm not sure to go for the ball that JoanneF advised on, or the whistler:-

Pippa loves a ball, haven’t tried with a frisbee yet as I could imagine on certain surfaces they would be hard to get hold of.
