does anyone know a man called john mortimer?? he used to race at middlewich then left the club for a while after we moved to winsford think he started aclub in widnes with someone called peter. he came back to winsford for a while until our club folded due to alot of disagreements as far as i know he's still racing now and possibily still breeding. would love to know how heis getting on and his family he had two daughters around my age so they'll be around 30. now and love to know about his dogs.

John had a long struggle with leukemia and sadly died about 10-11 years ago. It was very sad he had what seemed to be a complete recovery and had taken some pups on. When he relapsed he went very quickly. His wife and kids felt they couldn't go on with the dogs and sent them all back to their breeders. I wanted to use his parti dog "Lean Machine" over one of our bitches. She was usually a really regular bitch but would not break. John used to phone me asking if she was ready I think he knew time was running out for him. She finally broke about a month after John died.

thanks for letting me know that. i'm very sad to hear it my dad and grandad knew john very well looks like he passed away just before my grandad. he had some very good dogs at the time we were racing. i will be sure to let my dad know as it was him who asked me to see if anyone knew what he was doing. they were happy days all those years ago.
