Hello there,

I am an undergraduate in animals sciences and I have a keen interest in canine hydrotherapy.

I would greatly appreciate it if you own or train dogs that have gone to hydrotherapy (regularly or only once, it does not matter), if you could fill out my questionnaire and help me in my research.

Thankyou very much for any of your help!

Just to say that several of my dogs have had hydrotherapy and it has had an amazing effect upon them. All were referred after injury but some dogs there had joint problems and arthritis. Everyone I have spoken to has agreed how much the treatment has helped.

The centre I attend has a water treadmill, a physiotherapy department and also offers acupuncture. I found the acupuncture to be very beneficial in relieving the pain and so helping my dog re-align all the stiffness out of muscles and joints. The hydrotherapy then strengthened up all the muscles so that it did not all slip back again. Physio also helped one of my dogs to regain movement in joints that had stiffened up.

By all accounts I've heard from pals that it does help

well, there are a lot of different views & opinions on this topic

Some people say - there are a lot of different effects, others consist on Dog's Hydrotherapy being useless

I did not investigate this field, but I do have a lot of information and some links on this topic at this page:

My own doggie loves to swim, I don't know how about pool - but he loves the seas.
