Got a bit behind on this becuase of Freddies illness. Who can take the swab for the DNA test, don't see many of the WCRA committee where we race.

Hi Dave, sounds as though Freddie has recovered from his illness thank goodness. Have you got your swabs yet? hopefully the brush type as the cotton bud type often don't work.

If so, you need to have someone who is approved by the WCRA - a seconder, secretary of a WCRA club or WCRA committee member to witness you taking the swabs, they will then send them off for you. You will need to have the witness forms to hand at the same time which can be downloaded from the Whippet Club Site. You might as well have the swabs witnessed at the 1st WCRA Champs now.

Look forward to seeing you and your family, Freddie, Bentley and Marley soon - at the WCRA Champs hopefully.

Hiya, Freddie's much better, thank God, just started running him again. We got the swabs just before he was unwell, and was going to get Garry to do them at East Anglia and then Bentley got injured so we had no one to run, so stayed at home. I'll see if i can get June, Harvels club secretary to do them.

Unfortunately we won't be at the first champs or Scruples, because we have no fit dogs except the marvellous Marley who is 5 now so we'll club race and try and get some fitness back into the boys and hopefully be near ready for the nationals.

Good luck to your beautiful girl, really looking forward to watching her run this year. Where did the name Nubs Shifter come from?
