These two are 8 years old but bright and lively. They desperately need a loving home together.

For more details see:

If you know anyone who may be able to help please pass the message on!

Awwwwwwwwww, bless them  What a shame when you are just surplus to requirements

I wonder if anyone on here recognises them. One was a champion so it shouldn't be too hard to work it out.

Hope it isn't a matter of them being surplus to requirements. To me, them dogs have easily earned their place by the fireplace (not that I'm saying they should have to of course) It's just that when you've done so much with a dog, you'd expect the bond to be extremely strong. I imagine it's more the case of a change of circumstances for the owner?

Anyhow I wish the lovely pair every bit of luck in finding a loving home. :luck:

Awwwww so sweet

Hope they find a loving home soon :luck: :luck:

: :( HOPE THESE HANDSOME BOYS FIND A PERMANENT, LOVING, FIRESIDE HOME SOON XX :))

Poor boys :(

Hope it is ok for me to bump this one up

Poor little boys...I too could never think of parting with a loyal friend :(

Wish I could help...if I didn't have a cat, my house would be full of rescued whippets (it's with this in mind that I suspect my OH has secretly developed a cat longevity potion :- " ).

I too would love to have them :huggles: Same age as my Casper  But i have seven dogs and sadly not poss to take on another two :( :( :(

PLEASE help find these two lovely boys a warm & snuggly place by the fire :huggles: :huggles: :luck: :luck:

If it was just the one I would consider it...... I don't think I can try a whippet pup again whilst I still have Stan, but a maturer whippet may be an option for the future. Bit too early though ...still upset at having to say good bye to Joe and don't want to upset the applecart again too soon.

Good luck to them in finding a home together......they do look inseparable :huggles:

These two men really tugged at my heart strings, along with the two mature whippet bitches on another thread and would love to help but the Oldies Club will not rehome to people with entire dogs, which seems a shame really as they will probably miss out on a lot of good homes because potential owners have other dogs that cannot be nuetered for one reason or another i.e. showing etc.

Whilst I understand the rescues policy, I still find it a bit sad :(

 Hope the boys find a home soon

What a shame. In my view that is short sighted of the rescue. I've got to say that I don't understand that attitude at all.

So I'm off to ask them why and become educated? ;)

I have just checked out the site link, really sad viewing. Especially for me with my 2 english pointers to read about the one swapped for a mobile phone, new owner fed it curry, dogs got runs and booted out onto the street. How i yearn for a house with huge grounds to take in such lost souls. As for the owners..... well id best not say cos it aint at all kind.....

I have had to lose two of my beloved dogs due to divorce and it was quite the worst experience i have ever had, to then read such a flippant account just make s me feel sick to my stomach.

THINK IT A SHAME PEOPLE HAVE THEM THEN DUMP THEMhopefully a real animal lover will come and save them or like other x racers get shot or dumped in our concil pounds

I've made enquiries and these two are GRWE dogs and as such will be homed as per their homing policy.

GWRE certainly used to rehome dogs to people who had existing entire dogs.

Edited because I made an  on the letters.
