I thought I would post some of the photos i took before we started work on the late 1800s - early 1900s cottage we have just bought... it used to be the cottage to the farm 2 fields down.

And inside after we got started on it, as it needs a brave bit of work doing to it (first photo is/will be the lounge and the other is suppose to be our bedroom lol)

It's getting there.. we are 3 weeks in now and we are at the make it worse before it gets better stage (w00t) :lol:

We are doing it ourselves in our spare time and only calling in help when we really need it.

The garden is fabulous and I have been trying to find the photos I took of the boys running like loons around it .. think Ian must have them on his camera :b
 
Quite a job but how nice is going to be when you

How long before you think you will finish? Bet it will be so rewarding seeing it all come together.

Believe it or not, we are looking at the end of October to move in, if not done by then we are camping in the garden in the camper and tent :- "

So it has to have the bare necessities by then at least :lol:

Got to say I'd sooner get something run down and put some elbow grease into it, I think you just appreciate every little detail so much more.
