Dessie Mackens Show At Lawrecetown

There was a very big turnout from both North and South of the border of Lurchers, Terriers, Whippets,and Strong Dogs at Dessie Mackens show today. It was so nice to see so many ladies taking their rightful place in the ring along side the great gentlemen of the Canine world. Some beautiful dogs in the ring from the hunting, showing and racing world and some very proud owners at the end of the day.With such a big turnout of top notch dogs,the judges did a wonderful and difficult job. The trophies were top quality and very well thought out.Congratulations to all the winners. Bluebell was there as usual with her camera, and no doubt she will have photographs of all the days winners up shortly. I met her at the end of the evening and she was carrying an armful of trophies and a big smile on her face.The weather held out for most of the time, with the exception of a few showers.Thanks Dessie for another great and well organised show.Looking forward to the Whippet show tomorrow at Dunsilly Belfast and then the Mourne show next week.
