After just 3 weekends of shows, I have my first homebred champion - DeiConsorti's Santissima (CH Py's Sambucca x CH Carducci's Devine Comedy)!! Santi started her career off at 6 months old with a Group 3 placement the first time she entered the ring, she beat out a top US male the second weekend and this past weekend finished her championship by beating out a very nice 3 year old American, international and UKC Champion bitch.
Following closely behind her is her littermate Piero who is now at 9 points with some very nice wins himself (he needs only one more point). Another littermate, Benny and his owner Beth, both in their second show, were thrilled to get their first point.
The highlight of the show was after the show when the judge asked me if I bred the pups. She told me that "you are doing doing an amazing job with them. They were just amazing and have the most incredible temperments I have ever seen". A man from Denver came over and told me that he teaches handling to a lot of IGs and he said mine were the most confident he'd ever seen. Now those compliments are better than any ribbon!! (But I'll take the ribbons too
)
