just wondering if anyone knows how a breeder or buyer stands with the data protection act as both would have info on the other? thanks :thumbsup:

you would have a responsibility to treat any personal info you have on a buyer as confidential ie where they live etc and not to pass on that info for gain etc but as far as i understand it as a breeder you are opening yourself to potential buyers and any info offered can not be protected

thanks for that masta, the question arose during a starnge convo lol!!! so just thought id ask? any puppy and owner details dad and i have are kept in a locked filing cabinet with a key each. sorry comes from the days of care home management when files containingh any personal info has to be locked with limited access :thumbsup:

good point i use a feed company which requests that i give a name and ad of each puppies new owners , this is to check i give them the free bag of food supplied with each pup so not to have any rapid changes in diet and they will random check i have supplied the pup with the bag supplied, also i have each puppy microchipped and im 2nd contact so again holding personal info, food for thought for breeders :thumbsup:
