Cullompton - Festival Of Racing

Hi All,

I've just found out that there is a whippet racing festival at collumpton June 12th-25th, (Thanks John M) and since that's very near to us I wondered if anyone could give me some info about it.

Also - if anyone needs a campsite - I can recommend somewhere approx 20 mins from collumpton :b (we own a small camp site on the Devon border)

Thats a long racing festival (w00t) I reckon the whips will be quite tired!! Any more details Rae? its not too far from me so I'd like to pop down!

There are six full race meetings in all, dates are as follows

B.W.R.A. Mid-West Open Saturday 18th June

Devon and Somerset White Hart Open Sunday 19th June

Intervet Open Tuesday 21st June

B.W.R.A. Mid-West Thursday Open 23rd June

I.R.G. Open Saturday 25th June

N.W.R.F. summer classic Sunday 26th June

All the above events should start at around 1 pm each day.

The local Devon and Somerset W.R.C. always make us welcome at these events and so do the people of Collumpton.

We have the chance not only to enjoy our sporting pastime but also have a holiday as well.

The opportunity to stay at another campsite near to the event is welcome and I hope that you do well with bookings.

Maybe a contact phone number for your camping site would be helpful to pass around at whippet meetings for you.
