It wouldn't surprise me as the KC do seem more interested in making money from the public and tradestands than they do about the exhibitors. The public have got discover dogs to see dogs they do not and should not be around the benches.

If that s what the KC want , then they can carry my heavy cage in for me 
. Caging them on the benches at Crufts is the only way that id be happy leaving my dogs whilst either in the ring or going round the show . You never know what or who os going to mess with your dog or belongings . Too many peps about that you dont know

Luckily the dog is used to kids and didn't worry but if it wasn't and the kid was bitten, who would be at fault? Not the kid, thats for sure.
She did have a moan at them but it turns out they had been doing the same thing with a dog of every breed on that day. People like that make me :rant: :rant: They shouldn't be allowed round the benches like Katana said, the benches are for the dogs to relax on and not be mauled be kids (and adults).

All dog shows are public events and Crufts is no different, the paying public can see the dogs when they are being exhibited in the ring or come to your benches after and ASK PERMISSION to see your dog/take a photo, either that or go to Discover Dogs that is what it is there for!! Wouldn't even bother trying to contact the KC just take whatever you want to take.

Agree totally with Dessie. KC don't give a tuppenny fig about exhibitors. Will have the old fashioned fold up metal, but will also have Pedro plus visitors to help carry. It's a bit easier for me only having BJ there as he'll be with one of us at any time. How can your dogs give of their best if they're being mauled, prodded and poked at by the general public. We'd get pretty p****d about it, it it was happening to us. (w00t)
Spoken to someone in the know and you are allowed to take them, apparently if they did decide to ban them it was for health and safety reasons. Last year someone left an Akita in one and the dog moved about and the cage fell off the bench. Why anyone would use one for an Akita I don't know, can't see them keeping the OH's Akitas in for long!
