The Sun inn in Crook near Kendal is very dog friendly. Dogs allowed in the bar / restaurant area as well as the outside eating area. The staff tend to fuss dogs and supply a blanket for them to be comfy on as well as giving them treats. I also enjoy their meals.

The best dog friendly pub we have near us is the "George and Dragon, at Houghton in West sussex, BN18 9lW. All well behaved dogs are accepted both in the bar and at the dining tables. Human food is absolutely fantastic, with full plates of tasty and carefully prepared meals. Our dogs are always given a little biscuit by one of the staff while we pay our bill.
