Elkie_6_months_K9.jpgLol_6_Months_K9.jpg :D :D :D :D Today we had a nice day with Elkie at Coventry (Foleshill). There were only 3 classes for Whippets, so I had entered both the pups in the Junior class and Elkie came second and along with it Best Puppy. We got Puppy Group 2 also.

Here are the full results. well, they would be if only Pedro hadn't gone off in MY car to take a load of cheap booze that we brought back after our emergency dash to Pedro's mums' bedside. We had a call on Tuesday afternoon that we should go to the hospital in Blankenburge quick sharp as she wasn't expected to live much longer. So within ½ hour I had booked the ferry tickets, packed the bag, filled the car up and we were on our way. When we arrived, she was very poorly indeed. However, she woke up long enough to recognise Pedro and smile at him. The next 24 hours were crucial and thankfully, Mama Laura (that's her choice of name for me) improved a little more. The doctors advised that it was simply a matter of time and so we made the decision to come home yesterday.

So it was very cheery uppery to have a bit of good fortune today.

With a bit of luck, I've managed to post the photos of Lol and Elkie which were taken by Mr Whimpanny at Manchester.

Another  I should have finished what I was saying, that Pedro was taking the cheap booze to his mate (yes he does have one).

I'll try the photos again only this time below each other.

 Of course we noticed you were absent, how could we not? Mind you, you weren't on your own. Has my offer of salmon sandwiches been accepted for the Crufts party. Our visitors from Denmark are so looking forward to it, they think we're quite mad!

On paper, entry was 9 in Junior, 8 Post Grad and 10 in Open. But there were 6 absent in Junior, 2 in Post Grad and 6 in Open.

P.S. Do the roses keep that long then? Mind you, wouldn't matter how long they kept I certainly won't be receiving any. Pedro says he married me, so what more could I possibly want? There's no answer to that really.

And what is a basket garden?

My knowledge of flowers and green stuff is non-existent so me hat's off to you, making all those lovely bouquets and stuff.

mmmmmmmm.................... not like ours Wendy eh!? :huggles: :- "

BTW Well done Jan!!!!

Yes please to Salmon sarnies :D

As regards the Roses , they are kept in a `cooler` .We`ve had thousands of red Carnations in the coolers for a week already ;) .

A basket garden is a wicker basket with plants in it , yesterday in one basket I was putting in an Azalea , 2 primroses , 2 hyacinth ,mini daf, and tulip bulbs all in one basket . I must say they did look very nice ;)

Well, I know Mabel (Welstar as you like it at Monelli) chewed up a cardboard box and dug a hole in the garden yesterday, but I didn't know the naughty girl had been to a dog show without me, AND won her class!!

I don't think your post grad results are correct Jan, as we didn't go to Foleshill, honest! :- "

Teya's getting better standing on the floor actually, but on the table she's still backing up - but her feet are staying put so we can be thankful for little things LOL

LOL! Bit spooky eh!! I thought you had changed your surname as well Liz!!

 Oops, just goes to prove I'm not the brightest book on the shelf. I just like to share all the prizes around, whether you're there or not. I'll blame hubby cos he put the results in. You just can't trust these foreigners to get it right!

As for Super Glue, how could you, Dawn, it's called making sure there is a field where they can have a good run to let steam off and then they might, just might have a chance at standing still. Plus the fact that at just the right moment with Madam (Elkie) there was some bird or something which she was keeping a beady eye. Like today for instance, Pedro took both pups out and onto the hills and a couple of pheasants went home without tail feathers! Lol, bless him, is just like his Dad, loves his Mum (me) to bits and is just so laid back he'll fall down. Now he is growing up a bit, I have to be careful as it sometimes hard to tell them apart, his mannerisms are exactly the same.

The flowers sound very nice, oh what it is it be talented.

Well done Jan, beautiful puppies, I can remember if they are by your dog or Emperor? They are very nice though, how big is the dog now.

He's by BJ and last time I measured him he was 19½, so he's probably a bit bigger now but not by too much, he has got a teensy weensy bit of knuckle left, but he won't be as tall as his Dad (bet now I've said that, it will come back and bite me in the bum!). ;) That's reminded me I must ring Maurice to bring his measure up.
